Privacy Policy

Zenith Habit Tracker · Last updated: 21 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Zenith ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Zenith is built to be private by default: your habit and task data lives on your device, and we do not track you or sell your data.

Who we are

Zenith is developed by Kyle Keuris, based in Melbourne, Australia. You can reach us at zenithhabittracker@gmail.com.

The short version

Information stored on your device

Zenith stores the content you create — habits, tasks, sub-tasks, completion history, streaks, mood and energy check-ins, focus sessions, and your settings — locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. This data is not transmitted to us. If you have iCloud device backup enabled, this data may be included in your encrypted Apple backup under Apple's terms.

AI features and third-party processors

Some Zenith Pro features use artificial intelligence. When you use them, the text you provide (for example a brain-dump transcript, a task title, or a coaching prompt) is sent over an encrypted connection to our Cloudflare Worker, which forwards it to one of the AI providers below. We do not attach your name or email to these requests. A random per-install identifier (or your account ID if you are signed in) is used only to enforce fair-use limits and verify your subscription.

AI providers process your input solely to generate the result shown in the app. We do not use this data to advertise to you, build advertising profiles, or sell your information.

Google Gemini

Zenith uses Google Gemini (Google LLC) for most text-based AI in the app, including:

These requests are sent to Google's Gemini API via our proxy. Google processes the text according to its own terms and privacy policies. See Google's Privacy Policy and Gemini API Terms of Service.

Brain Dump (voice → tasks)

When you use Brain Dump, your speech is transcribed using Apple's on-device / Apple-operated Speech Recognition, which is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. The resulting transcript (not your raw audio) is sent to our proxy for parsing.

Brain Dump parsing uses Groq (Groq, Inc.) for fast live transcript-to-task extraction. See Groq's Privacy Policy.

Some Brain Dump follow-up steps may also use Google Gemini when a feature needs richer structured output.

Subscriptions and payments

Zenith Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store. Apple processes your payment and manages your subscription — we never receive or store your payment card details. We record anonymous events about subscription actions (e.g. trial started, paywall viewed, purchase completed) to understand how the app performs. These events are sent to our analytics provider, PostHog, as described below — not your payment details.

Product interaction analytics

To improve Zenith, we collect anonymous information about how you use the app — for example which screens you open, tab navigation, and key actions such as opening Brain Dump or the paywall. This is tied to a random per-install device identifier (or your account ID if you sign in), not your name or email. We do not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

These events are processed by PostHog (PostHog Inc.), our product analytics provider. PostHog receives screen names, action names, subscription funnel events, app version, and an anonymous identifier. PostHog does not receive your habit or task content, mood notes, voice recordings, email address, or payment details. Data is stored on PostHog's servers in the region configured for our project (United States or European Union). See PostHog's Privacy Policy for how they handle data on our behalf.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push server and do not send you marketing notifications.

Health & fitness information

Habit and wellness data you enter (for example a meditation or exercise habit, or mood/energy check-ins) may be considered health & fitness information. This data stays on your device and is used only to provide the app's features. Zenith does not read from or write to Apple Health.

Accounts

You can use Zenith without signing in. Optional sign-in with Apple or Google creates an account on our authentication provider (Supabase) so we can sync subscription status and support account features. Your habit and task content remains on your device unless you enable cloud sync (Pro).

Children

Zenith is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Because your content is stored on your device, you control it directly: edit or delete items in the app, or remove everything by deleting the app. For any questions about your data, contact us at zenithhabittracker@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
